1280 A.M. ( KJOY , KJAX or KUYL ) 1 Kw N.D. day and 1kw to the West at night.
was bought from Joel Gamell ( who still owns the the land and charges rent to the station owner )
Joel sold the station to comunity pacific then it was bought out by Pacific star then 'cap-star' then AMFM
then AMFM was sucked up by Cheap Channel who now controls over 1200 of OUR american radio stations frequencys
The station was running the right wing stuff like RUSH ,Dr. lori etc...
but is now running 50's/60's music now with one DJ ( morning drive
, and voice tracks the rest of the day and nights

Baron has been adding to the fund's stake in media companies. For instance, he picked up Radio One (Nasdaq: ROIA - news) in 2000's fourth quarter. The company targets African-American listeners, and it recently spent $1.3 billion to acquire radio stations from Clear Channel Communications (NYSE: CCU - news). Baron says the company will run these stations better than predecessors did.
