SDEA agents allowed the packages to be delivered
by the U.S. Postal Service to Hill's business Friday
Stanislaus County drug agents Friday arrested the owner of a Modesto skateboard shop for possession
shipped to him from Thailand, authorities said.
Jerad Hill, 23, who owns Hookupz at 136 E. Granger Ave.,
codeine and Valium for sale, and being in possession of a loaded .45-caliber handgun
Hill's employees, Jeremy Booth, 23, at the business when agents served a search warrant
arrested possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.( no health care ? )

the SDEA received a call from from customs officials at Los Angeles International Airport,Customs
and postal inspectors had opened the eight packages and found magazines that had been hollowed out
and filled with pills. Customs agents said the packages had been sent to Hill from someone in Bangkok.

Agents obtained a search warrant and set up surveillance on the skateboard shop, Van Diemen said.
After the packages were delivered, the agents moved in and found Hill in a rear room opening the boxes
and putting the pills into several plastic containers, more than 1,200 pills, including
Valium, codeine, muscle relaxers and anti-depressants. Van Diemen said Hill admitted
selling pills to juveniles and adults for several months / 75 cents each.
Agents said they found 800 Valiums, 100 codeine pills, 154 muscle relaxers,
100 anti-depressants and another 100 pills that haven't been identified.
Customs agents are trying to determine who in Bangkok sent the pills to Hill,
Van Diemen said. Members of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force
seized two computers from the business.
SDEA agents ask anyone with information about the case,
or who may suspect their children have been purchasing pills
at the skateboard shop, to call Chris Perry at 558-6300.

Ex-KYLD-FM , San Francisco jock gets jail time for prank.
Joseph Lopez – an ex-employee of
Clear Channel
's KYLD-FM – was
sentenced to 45 days in San Mateo County Jail for his participation in
an on air stunt. Lopez and KYLD-FM intern Graham Herbert were arrested
on August 30, 2000 for dressing up as escaped convicts and knocking on
residents doors in Millbrae, CA. Both were charged with falsely causing an
emergency to be reported. Herbert pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor of
disturbing the peace and received a year probation. Lopez received 45 days in
county jail and must pay restitution – about $1,000 – to Millbrae police.
